The dates for the 2011 World Series of Poker (WSOP) have finally been announced. The 42nd annual World Series of Poker is supposed to start its tournament from Tuesday, May 31, 2011. It will run every day until Tuesday, July 19, 2011, with a total schedule of 50 straight days.
The main event has been scheduled to be held on July 7. According to the press release of WSOP, there will be four starting days this year as earlier. The venue for the big event will be Convention Center of the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, like it has been the usual custom since 2005.

The World Series of Poker is one of the biggest poker events held each year. Being the richest and most prestigious gaming event, it awards millions of dollars in the form of prize money along with a prestigious gold bracelet. Dates And Schedule
As stated earlier, the WSOP Main Event will begin on Thursday, July 7, 2011. This year too it will feature four starting days like previous years. These four days have been scheduled to be held on July 7, July 8, July 9, and July 10.
The WSOP Main Event will be the final tournament of the annual WSOP as it always has been over the years. The conclusion of the final tournament has been scheduled on Tuesday, July 19. The event will be preceded by the final table of nine players. A detailed schedule comprising individual tournaments, dates, times, and buy-ins of The 42nd Annual World Series of Poker will be declared in January.
The main change on the slate is a hard stop time policy for all bracelet events. This means players will play a maximum of ten levels per day. Their chips will be bagged and tagged to return the following day regardless of how many players remain in a tournament.
