If you are one of those gamers that would like to break away from the traditional, you are encouraged to find out more about a number of blackjack variance that are not only available online, but in some brick-and-mortar casinos as well. Although playing exotic blackjack is a little more difficult to find in traditional casinos, there are many software developers that are creating variations of traditional blackjack, making them more interesting, entertaining and truly innovative. One variant is called Burn 20 Blackjack. In this game, the dealer does not have a two-card hand, so the player does not have to worry about that. If the dealer’s card is face up and has a value of 10, just like traditional blackjack, he checks the hole card. If the whole car has a value of 10, the dealer throws away that hand and deals in addition two cards to himself. Again, if the hand equals 20, the dealer draws the hand away, as he would if the hand resulted in a suited blackjack. Another difference in this type of blackjack is that if the dealer busts his hand with 22, the players do not win, they push.
Another variant on traditional blackjack is called Free Bet Blackjack. This is an interesting blackjack game, because under specific circumstances, the player can split or double for free. If a player is dealt a hard 9, 10 or 11 regardless of the number of cards, they can do for free. As with a traditional double down, the player only gets one card. If the dealer wins the hand or the hand results in a tie, the player will only lose the original wager, keeping the free double down. However, if the player wins the hand, it will get back the original wager loss additional winnings that are two times the original wager. Splits are allowed as well, for free, on every pair except for tens. The payout works exactly as the double down for free, depending on wind, loss or push. If the dealer deals himself a 22, is not a bust, it is a push. If the player stands on his hand and the dealer busts with 22, the wager is a push.
Although these are only two of the differentiations of blackjack that are currently available, there are many more available online and even some traditional brick-and-mortar casinos, with many more coming down the pipe. The idea of most of these exciting blackjack variants is to create additional wins for the player, by turning them into ties or instead of the laws, turning the loss into a tie in order to compensate the player somehow. One type of blackjack actually penalizes the player, because the tie only pays 1:2. The player only has the option of hitting and standing, and blackjacks pay 1:1. Players are not allowed to split or double and the dealer has the option of standing or hitting a soft 17 in this blackjack game, called Ties Win Blackjack.
